Research on prospects of Aihujia hand disinfectant applied in surgical hand disinfection

OBJECTIVE To compare the effects of Aihujia hand disinfectant with the traditional iodophor disinfectant before surgery in surgical hand disinfection.METHODS Subjects of medical personnel were randomly divided into two groups,i,e.povidone iodine(control group) and Aihujia group.The infection rates of hand,time of hand washing and the amount of bacteria detected at different time points(immediately,30,60 and 120 min after disinfection) were compared.Patients with classes Ⅰ,Ⅱand Ⅲ incisions were disinfected by using two methods,and infection rates of the three incision classes were compared.RESULTS Hand infection rates between iodophor group and Aihujia group had no significant difference.Time of hand washing between the two groups was statistically different(P=0.002).Aihujia group had a shorter time.Difference in the amount of bacteria in the hand detected after disinfection in 120/min between the two groups was not statistically significant.Patients with classesⅠ,Ⅱand Ⅲincisions were disinfected by using the two methods respectively.Their infection rates of the wound were not significantly different.CONCLUSION Aihujia is a new and favorable hand disinfectant in surgical hand disinfection.
