Abstract
Telecommunications networks, computer networks and cable television networks are combined and evoluted into NGN that supports in a high-performance network platform with the same operating agreement communities voice, data, video, integrated operations, both Internet flexibility while for voice and other real-time operational data to provide important quality assurance NGN. This combination of advantages and characteristics of the network architecture has become a new network and telecommunication operators and manufacturers focus, and has gradually established. This paper investigates the architecture of NGN,its core technology- Softswitch and the telecom operation of NGN. It also gives an expectation of NGN foreground.
