Abstract
The FeC1_3· 6H_2O has been used in the esterified catalytic synthesis of benzyl aretate. The relationship between esterfication ratio and reaction condition,Such as the amount of catalyst, the molar ratio of acetic acid to benzyl alcohol, the reaction time, the amount of azeatropic dosage have been investigated. The results show that this catalyst,as compared with the sulfuric acid catalyst, has the advantages of the less catalyst,no used liquid, simplicity in operation, good purity and no eroding equipment.
