Abstract

Objective To study the effect of impulsion treating lupus nephritis(LN) with pulse cyclophosphamide(CTX) and corticosteroid. Methods All the patients were divided into two groups randomly.Only Corticosteroid in the control group,Corticosteroid and CTX were intravenously with 0.4~0.6g/d for two days and once for two weeks in treated group. Results The total effective rate the in treated group was 89.3% and in the control group was 66.7%.Twenty-four hours urinary protein and urinary red blood cell,Scr,complement C3,ESR,the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Activity Index(SLEDAI) all significanty improved in experiment group(P0.05),the side effects were less common in experiment group than in control group. Conclusion The combination pulse therapy with CTX and corticosteroid is safe and effective on the treatment of LN.
