Clinical Observation on Integrative Medicine in Treatment of Ankylosing Spondylitis

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of the integrative medicine treatment of ankylosing spondylitis.Methods: 80 cases diagnosized as ankylosing spondylitis were randomly divided into a treatment group and the control group,n=40 cases.The treatment group received Western medicine sulfasalazine enteric-coated tablets and Compound Chlorzoxazone tablet.Treatment group on the basis of the control group treatment,added self-made Bushen Xuanbi Decociton orally,making modification according to the syndrome differentiation.The clinical efficacy was observed after the end of treatment.Results: The treatment group total effective rate was 87.5% and in the control group the total effective rate was 62.5%,and there was a significant difference(P0.05).Before and after treatment,signs and symptoms had significant difference(P0.05),as shown in Table 2.C-reactive protein and erythrocyte sedimentation rate in the treatment group patients after treatment were significantly reduced than that before treatment(P0.05),immunoglobulin was significantly reduced after the treatment(P0.05).Conclusion: Integrative treatment of ankylosing spondylitis can improve the clinical efficacy,and it is worthy of promotion.
