Abstract

Objective: To explore the relationship between plasma levels of fibrinogen and D-dimer and platelet count and short-term effect in patients with extensive stage small lung cancer( ES-SCLC). Methods: The plasma levels of fibrinogen and D-dimer and platelet count were detected in 61 patients with ES-SCLC and 60 normal controls. Results: The D-dimer and plasma fibrinogen and platelet count were significantly higher than those of normal controls( P 0. 05). The plasma levels of fibrinogen and D-dimer and platelet count in patients with ES-SCLC were not related to the age, sex, smoking history, brain metastasis, lung metastasis, pleural metastasis and adrenal metastasis, and were negatively correlated to the progression-free survival( PFS). Conclusion: The hypercoagulability state exists in the patients with ES-SCLC. The plasma levels of fibrinogen and D-dimer and platelet count in the patients with ES-SCLC are correlated with the short-term effect.
