Curative effect of Xiyanping jnjection in acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Objective To observe curative effect of Xiyanping injection in the treatment of acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods Sixty patients with AECOPD were divided into two groups according to the severity: mild patients were then randomly divided into conventional treatment group and Xiyanping injection group,while severe patients were then randomly divided into conventional treatment group and the routine treatment + Xiyanping injection group.All the patients were treated for 2 weeks,then general conditions were observed,including body temperature,breathing,pulse,and diet.The changes of sputum volume and lung auscultation sound among groups were compared.Results The therapeutic effect on patients with Xiyanping injection alone in mild group had no significant difference compared with those with conventional treatment(P0.05),while in severe group,the difference of efficacy between conventional treatment + Xiyanping injection group and the routine treatment group alone was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Xiyanping injection improves symptoms of severe AECOPD patients significantly,and it has a definite effect in the treatment of AECOPD.
