Abstract
As a key representative of the modern Neo-Confucianism in the 20th century, Xu Fuguan's cultural philosophical thoughts dealt with the nature of culture, universality and individuality of cultures, Chinese culture and western culture, the different levels of culture, ancient culture and modern culture and so on, in which he excavated the unique value of Chinese culture and formed a distinctive system of cultural philosophy. He made great contribution to the development of the modern Neo-Confucianism and the construction of the contemporary Chinese culture.
