Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of cisplatin on apoptosis and cell cycle of cervical carcinoma Hela cells in order to find out the mechanism of its anticancer action. Methods:By technique of cell culture in vitro,Hela cells were treated with cisplatin in different concentrations for 72 hours, then apoptotic rate and cell cycle were measured by flow cytometer. Results:Cisplatin induced apoptosis and took on arresting effect in G_0/G_1 phase in Hela cells by the concentration-dependent fashion. Conclusion:Cisplatin can induce the apoptosis and arrest cell cycle in G_0/G_1 stage in Hela cells, which may be one of important mechanisms of cisplatin against cervical carcinoma.
