Abstract
Modernization is closely dependent on traditional culture of a particular ethnic group.Without traditional culture,there would be no modernization.Modernization is an evitable logic development of traditional culture in line with its history with pace of times.Urbanization is the only way of modernization.At the same time,it is a natural process of handing down,originating and development of traditional culture adaptation of an ethnic group,but not a reject of traditional culture.According to case study of the Hui ethic group community in cities in Northwest China,the changes of community structure in cities have great impact on ethnic culture.
