Harmonious Society and the Construction of Rule of Law

The construction of rule of law is a century ideal of Chinese people, and the harmonious society is thousands years historical expectation. Build of the harmonious society is to build a society of rule of law as viewed from the purpose of the law and the nature and characteristics of harmonious society. Several aspects, including the development of legislation establishing the systematic foundation, the guide of law reducing the conflict, disposal according to laws eliminating the litigation, direction of legal system innovating the administrative system, and the maturity of rule of law provide functional mechanism, indicate that the rule of law is important measure for building the harmonious society. The rule of law will serve the build of socialism harmonious society by establishing legal idea, perfecting legal system, practicing governing in accordance with the law, advancing administration according to the law, actualizing judicial function, intensifying rule of law in rural area, safeguarding vulnerable group, responding to the emergencies, protecting natural environment, and realizing social justness.
