Abstract
Objective To study the CT manifestations of inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor( IMT) of abdomen. Methods All patients of abdominal IMT were confirmed by surgical pathology between 2005 and 2009. The CT features of 13 newly diagnosed cases and 2 recurrent cases were retrospectively analyzed. Results All tumors showed inhomogeneous density, irregular areas of low density was seen in 10 cases, cystic cavity in 5 cases and calcification in 2 cases. Eleven cases had clear tumor borders,low-density shadow around tumors was found in 3 cases, and peripheral vascular dilation in 2 cases. The tumors showed het-erogeneous enhancement with slow filling and slow wash-out. Conclusion For the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of abdominal IMT,CT features can provide valuable information.
