Abstract

Objective To study relation of grade of brain glioma and the nuclear DNA content. Methods The nuclear DNA content of 18 cases with human primary brain glioma were measured by Video Pro 32 colour image analysis system. Results That Ⅲ and Ⅱ, Ⅰ grade of brain glioma was significant difference in DNA index and various DNA ploidy; but Ⅰ and Ⅱ grade was not significant difference in these two indexes. Conclusion The quantitative analysis of DNA showed that there is an obvious demarcation bewteen Ⅱ and Ⅲ grade of brain glioma.
