Feng Zheng Wu is a representative work of Li Yu,a playwright and Chinese opera theorist in late Ming and early Qing dynasty.Kite is the image in this opera and plays a very important part in the whole play.In Written by Leisure,Li Yu stated the idea of main point clearly and emphasized on Abandoning the Old and Adopting the New.By using the kite,he made the old plot form anew.In the aspect of the specific structure of opera creation,Li Yu generalized the image of kite and renewed it from two angles:general principle and specific structure.Kite in Li Yu's operas play special narrative functions.
