Survey and Study of Current Situation of Theoretic Teaching of P.E. in Shanghai General Colleges and Universities

In China,the teaching of P.E.theories has always been the weak part in PE teaching in colleges and universities,which has influenced the development of college P.E.teaching.By means of literature review,questionnaires and mathematic statistics,the authors have made investigations into the current teaching situation of P.E.theoretic curriculum in general colleges and universities in Shanghai.The results show that there are some problems in the teaching of P.E.theories in colleges and universities.These problems include inadequate amount of periods in P.E.theory teaching,unitary form of teaching organization and lacking in teaching contents.Some suggestions are proposed therefore as to the current problems such as setting up enough periods for theory teaching and establishing new models of theoretic curriculum of P.E..
