Academic Power and Administrative Power in Colleges

There are reasons for co-existence of academic and administrative power,two basic forms of power inside a university,though with some conflicts between them.Every organization has its structure to express the mode,subject,and implementation path and operation scope of power.For a university,there shall be appropriate organization structure to ensure the rationality of the co-existence of academic and administrative power and to reduce conflicts.Two dimension power matrix is used in this paper to examine the relationship between academic and administrative power.
