Abstract

Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism(AFLP) was a new molecular marker technique based on PCR and RFLP.The principle,advantages and disadvantages of AFLP were introduced.Its application in genetic linkage mapping,genetic diversity,gene location and marker assisted selection was reviewed.The development prospect was put forward.
