Abstract
A new method for the determination of trace zinc by spectrophotometry was established, basing on the color reaction of Zn(Ⅱ) and 2,4-dichlor-phenylfluorone in the presence ofβ-cyclodextrin(β-CD).The zinc content was measured through the formed multi-component complex Zn(Ⅱ)-DCIPF-β-CD of high sensitivity. The maximum absorption wavelength of the complex was 550nm with apparent molar absorptivity of 1.50×10~5L·mol~(-1)·cm~(-1).Zn(Ⅱ) content obeyed Lambert-Beer's law in the range of 0.23—10.0μg/25mL,the regression equation was A = 0.211C (μg/25mL) + 0.0122.r=0.9995,with less interfering ions. The method has been applied to the determination of trace zinc in tap water with satisfactory results.
