Abstract

Objective:To investigate the present situation of clinical blood transfusion in order to improve clinical blood transfusion quality. Method:The indexes including total quantity, whole blood and component blood transfusion during 2006—2010 in our hospital were analyzed. Result:The percentage of component blood transfusion was increasing year by year. The whole blood quantity gradually decreased, whereas the quantity of platelet and cryoprecipitate gradually increased. Mean usage of blood transfusion per capita did not significantly change during six years. The total quantity of plasma increased, but its percentage decreased year by year. Conclusion:Although the percentage of component blood transfusion gradually increased, and clinical blood transfusion gradually trended to the standard, there are still some unreasonable phenomenon to be improved for better quality of clinical blood transfusion.
