Abstract

Two year's data of seven yield traits and five fiber traits of 8 parents and their 28 F 1 crosses of upland cotton were analyzed by the genetic model of additive dominance and its interactions with environments by MINQUE(1) approaches. Genetic variance components and correlations were estimated. The results indicated that all yield trait correlation were significant, and mainly controlled by the additive correlation and dominant correlation and its interactions with environments. The significant correlation were additive effects of lint yield with fiber traits. Lint yield with fiber length and micronaire value were positive correlated. Lint yield with fiber strength and elongation and uniformity were negative correlations. The additive positive correlations of fiber strength with fiber length and uniformity and micronaire value were significant. The inaividual boll weight with lint percentage were negative correlated. The lint percentage with yield were correlated positively and significantly. The lint percent with fiber characters were correlated negatively and significantly.
