Abstract
The stability analysis of tailing dam was carried out by the ANSYS software.The limit equilibrium method(Fellenius method,Bishop method and Janbu method),the combining FEM with limit equilibrium method and strength reduction FEM method were used for the stability analysis.The main procedure of tailing dam stability analysis by ANSYS software was summarized.From the stability calculation of tailing dam with different method,the safety factor and circular slip surface of tailing dam were obtained.The calculation results show that the numerical method is suitable for the tailing dam stability analysis,and can directly present the stability of tailing dam.
