Abstract
Objective: To study the histology of digestive system of the Batrachupers pinchonii. Methods: Examined by light and scanning electron microscopy. Results: The digestive tract is different in mucosae and muscularis among the different segments such as esophagus, stomach and intestine. Mucosa epithelium consists of stratified columnar cells on esophagus and simple columnar cells on stomach and intestine. In addition, the fine structure features of mucosa epithelium cells, gland's distribution and the thickness of muscularis are also different in the different parts of the digestive tract. Central veins of the liver are irregular in distribution and hepatic lobuli are indistinct. The pancreas is of diffusion type.
