CT Findings of Cystadenoma and Cystadenocarcinoma of the Pancreas

Objective To demonstrate the CT features of pancreatic cystadenoma and cystadenocarcinoma.Methods CT appearances of 10 cases with cystadenoma and cystadenocarcinoma of the pancreas confirmed by clinic and pathology were retrospectively analyzed.Results The disease mainly occur in middle and old women.It usually grows in body or/and tail of the pancreas.Lobulated contour、honeycombed appearance and lesion with multis mall cysts and one or more big cysts are highly specific for serous cystadenoma in comparison with mucinous cystadenoma,the specificity is upto 100%.Vessel surrounding by soft tissue and much solid substance in lesion indicate malignant.Conclusion CT appearances of serous cystadenoma are highly specific to make diagnosis and differential diagnosis.
