Preparation of New Polyvinyl Acetate Emulsion

Abstract

The terpolymer of VAc / AA / BA is prepared by soap-free emulsion.This paper discusses the influence of structural unit of butyl acrylate,initiator volume and the reaction temperature on the stability,viscosity,the conversion rate and adhesive strength of emulsion.The findings suggest that when the volumes of BA and APS are 8.0% and 0.5% of the total mass of mixed monomer and the reaction temperature is 75℃,the copolymer emulsion has the best performance.
