Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of elongated needle treatment for gastroptosis. Methods Seventy-eight patients were randomly allocated to two groups. The treatment group of 40 cases received elongated needle acupuncture and the control group of 38cases, conventional acupuncture. The therapeutic effects were evaluated. Results The total efficacy rate was significantly higher in the treatment group than in the control group (P0.01). Conclusion Acupuncture has a therapeutic effect on gastroptosis. Elongated needle acupuncture can obviously increase the total efficacy rate.
