Clinical Observation of Abdominal Acupuncture Needle with Different Diameter on Treating Shoulder Periarthritis

Objective:Observing the effect of acupuncture needle with different diameter on treating shoulder periarthritis.Methods:60 patients with shoulder periarthritis patients were randomly divided into 2 groups,30 cases in treatment group and 30cases in controlled group,two groups were chosen for scapulohumeral periarthritis standard prescription meridians.The treatment group used 0.22mm×40 mm acupuncture needle.The controlled group used 0.30 mm×40 mm acupuncture needle.Choosing the VAS and pain relief as curative effect evaluation standard,and evaluated it.Results:The treatment group was higher than the controlled group in total cure rate P = 0.020.05,the treatment group was higher than the controlled group in cure and effective rate P = 0.0440.05,while,the two groups had no significant difference in the total effective rate.Conclusion:The thinner acupuncture for scapulohumeral periarthritis is better than thicker acupuncture.The different diameter of acupuncture has different influence on the clinical curative effect.The different diameter of acupuncture in standardization of abdominal acupuncture is a question need to be noticed.
