Abstract
OBJECTIVE To Study on the chemical constituents in the cane part of Salvia chinensis Benth.METHODS The compounds were isolated by the solvent extraction ,silica gel ,and reversed-phase silica gel column chromatography and semi-preparative HLPC chromatography.The structures were identified by various spectroscopic methods including NMR spectrum,MS,UV,etc.RESULTS Five aromatic compounds were isolated and purified from the ethyl acetate fraction and identified as 3,5,7-trihydrochromone(Ⅰ),kaempferol(Ⅱ),5,7,4′-trihydroxydihy-droflavonol(Ⅲ),3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxybenzoic acid.(Ⅳ),syringaresinol (Ⅴ).CONCLUSION Compouds 3-5were obtained from the plant for the first time.
