Gap Studies on Conservation in situof National Key Protected Wild Plants in Hubei Province

On the basis of seriously investigation on the present situations of national key protected wild plants in nature reserves of Hubei Province,the in situ conservation status and gaps of the national key protected wild plants in Hubei Province were analyzed.And some protective suggestions and countermeasures were put forward.The results showed that there were 51 species of national key protected wild plants in Hubei,which account for 18.55% of total species in China.Among them,45 species have been protected in situ,accounting for 88.24% of total species.And some protective suggestions were put forward,such as putting more energy into the protection of some special species,regulating and building more nature reserves(natural protection spots,natural small protected areas) and combining in situ conservation with ex-situ conservation.
