Clinical exploration of Nd:YAG laser combined with mitomy C and TobraDex Ophthalmic ointment in the treatment of lacrimal passage obstruction

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of intrapperative mitoomycin C(MCC) and TobraDex ophthalmic ointment(TDO) in transcanalicular Nd:YAG laser-assisted dacryocystoplasty(LDCL).Methods Four hundred eighteen eyes with obstruction of lacrimal passage were andomly divided into MMC+TDO group,TDO group and control group.In MCC+TDO group 136 eyes firstly applied 0.2 ml MMC for 5 min,then filled up TobraDex ophthalmic ointment. In TDO group 152 eyes filled up on TobraDex ophthalmic ointment without MMC.In control group 56 eyes only filled up on 0.9%Nacl.Results All patients were followed up for 6 months.In 1 months It was found that the healing rates of two drug group were 97.1%,86.8%,After stastistics rest,there was not difference between two groups(P0.05),respectively significantly higher than that of the control group(57.1)(P0.05).In 3～6 months It was found that the healing rates of MMC+TDO group were 85.3%,the healing rates of TDO group were 65.8%,After stastistics rest,there was a great significant difference between two groups(P0.05),MCC combined with TDO respectively significantly higher than that of the TDO group.Conclusion MCC combined with TDO or TDO is effective on patients treated with LDCL in longer term.
