Clinical curative effect of combined treatment with budesonide and terbutaline for asthma and its impaction on pulmonary function

OBJECTIVE To study the curative effect of combined treatment with budesonide and terbutaline for asthma and its impaction on pulmonary function.METHODS From July 2005 to July 2007,86 cases with child asthma were randomly classified into two groups.Observation group with 45 cases were treated with budesonide and terbutaline,while control group with 41 cases were treated with budesonide.RESULTS The effective rate in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group(P0.05).The extinction time of cough,gasping and wheezing rale in observation group were shorter than those in control group(P0.05).In group,there were no significant differences in FEV1 and FEV1% between the pre-treatment and post-treatment(P0.05).In observation group,FEV1 and FEV1% post-treatment were higher than those in pre-treatment(P0.05).Moreover,the improvements of FEV1 and FEV1% in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P0.05).CONCLUSION Combined treatment with budesonide nd terbutaline for children cough variant asthma can improve the clinical efficacy and pulmonary status,which is an effective method for cough variant asthma.
