Abstract

Objective To observe clinical effect of doxycycline hydrochloride combined with metronidazole, clotrimazole and chlorhexidine acetate suppositories in treatment of cervical mycoplasma infection. Methods 110 patients with cervical mycoplasma infection were randomly divided into therapy group and control group(n=55),patients in control group took orally doxycycline hydrochloride only, while patients in the therapy group were treated with oral doxycycline tablets combined with external metronidazole, clotrimazole and chlorhexidine acetate suppositories.Cervical swab mycoplasmata cultivation were performed after the 7-10th treatment.Patients whose results were positive were examined again two weeks later. The curative effects were evaluated by the cultural results, symptoms and signs, and negative conversion rate and side effects incidence rates of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate and mycoplasma culture conversion rate(92.73%,81.82%) of therapy group were significantly higher than those of control group(69.09%,30.91%)(P0.05).The difference of the two groups in adverse reaction incidence was not statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion It is an effective method in treating cervical mycoplasma infection by doxycycline hydrochloride combined with metronidazole, clotrimazole and chlorhexidine acetate suppositories.
