Abstract
Solutions of NaCl concentration of 0 mmol/L,50 mmol/L,100 mmol/L,150 mmol/L,200 mmol/L,250 mmol/L,300 mmol/L were used to handle the three chicory seeds, the physiological indicators such as germination rate, germinability, root length, seedling length and fresh weight of chicory were studied. Results indicated that seed germination rate and concentration of NaCl showed a significant negative correlation.150 mmol/L NaCl was semi-lethal salt concentration for chicory seeds.250 mmol/L NaCl was the limit salt concentration for chicory seeds. The effect of 100 mmol/L NaCl on the growth after seed germination of chicory was significant.
