Abstract

The construction of a completed life-long learning system has been set as one of the strategic goal in the Outline of National Medium and Long Term Education Reform and Development.Having made historic contribution in building the life-long learning system,the Jiangsu RTVU now is facing new environment of social and economic development,and a new mission in constructing the life-long learning system,which includes: identifying the strategic position of RTVU in the construction of life-long learning system,actively transferring to the mode of serving economic development;actively participating in creating learning organizations and community education,actively taking part in urban and rural intergraded development,and constructing open university.
