Abstract

Different thought patterns, which exist in different cultures, restrict the language structures.Plenty of mistakes occur in Chinese students' compositions in language orders, sentence structures and paragraph structures, because they begin with their own thought pattern in their English writing. Thus,it is quite necessary for them to know about English thought pattern in order to develop their competence for English writing.
