Discussion of the Law on Modern Clinical Medication in Treatment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Based on Data Mining

Objective To collect the effective formulas from modern literatures on the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome( PCOS) and excavate the medication law of TCM for PCOS by using statistical method and data mining method so as to provide the statistical evidences on clinical treatment of PCOS. Methods The literatures of TCM about the inclusive criteria on PCOS were collected from CNKI from 1983 to 2013. Totally,82 effective formulas were collected. Using excel software,PCOS database was set up. In Window 7 platform,with SPSS17. 0 and clementine 12. 0 software adopted,the descriptive analysis,association rules analysis and clustering analysis were conducted. Results The top five herbs with the highest frequency of application were tusizi( Semen Cuscutae),danggui( Angelica Sinensis),fuling( Poria Cocos),xianlingpi( Herba Epimedii) and xiangfu( Rhizoma Cyperi). The correlation analysis showed that baizhu( Rhizoma Atractylodis) and banxia( Pinellia Ternata) had the highest correlativity. The clustering analysis figured out 11 groups of the essential herbs. Conclusion The study presents the common pair herbs in the treatment of PCOS,which provides the approach to syndrome differentiation and medication in clinical treatment of PCOS.
