Abstract

The narrative point of view is an important part of a novel. It is closely related to the artistic conception of the author. The narrative point of view in A Lost Lady is new and unique. Based on the third person restricted narrative point of view, combining the use of omniscient point of view and the appropriate change of narrative point of view, the novel has succeeded in obtaining the aim of a vivid description of the character and the theme. Thus, by selecting the most suitable narrative point of view, using such a new angle, Willa Catcher has built the form and content perfectly together, which creates a unique artistic charm.
