An overview of converters between XML-based main office document formats

In order to achieve the interoperability of three main office document formats,ODF,OOXML and UOF,a variety of document format converters have appeared in recent years,such as ODF-OOXML converter,UOF-ODF converter and UOF-OOXML converter.This paper focuses on introducing the implement of the converters and making a comparative analysis about each converter's technical route,application and development.At last,some key issues in the document format translation are discussed,the limitations of the converters and the shortcomings in existing document format standard are proposed.
