Abstract
PCF8563 is an industrial grade low power loss time/calendar chip,it contains the I2C bus interface.An electronic clock system is designed with AT89S52 single-chip microcontroller,PCF8563,and LCD HS12864.The system design realizes the date,time display and adjustment function.The hardware interface circuit and the main code are given.The electronic clock is low-cost,simple hardware;language C for programming,easy to achieve system migration.The system is widely used in machine tools,vehicles,telephones,fax machines,portable instruments and so on.
