Abstract
A parameterized design method based on 3D software CATIA is introduced to conduct 3D modeling to involute spur gear.Involute is set up through fog method in GSD model, then 3D model of involute spur gear is established using CATIA commands such as mirror, split, trim, intersection, pattern, pad and so forth.Through transforming the basic parameters,a parameter-driving design of 3D model corresponding to the involute spur gear is obtained immediately. It is a simple and convenient way to create model and greatly improve designers'working efficiency.
