Abstract
Objective To provide theoretical basis for prevention and treatment of cerebral infarction by determining the levels of plasma homocysteine(Hcy)and oxidative low density lipoprotein(ox-LDL)and their relationship. Methods 60 patients with cerebral infarction and 32 healthy controls were selected.Hcy and ox-LDL of two groups were determined with ELISA method. Results The levels of homocysteine and ox-LDL in cerebral inforction groups(23.25 ±3.74μmol/ L,711.45 ±128.01μmol/ L) were significantly higher than that control groups(10.82±3.55μmol/ L,406.30±100.04μg/ L) respectively.A significant positive correlation was found between level of homocysteine and ox-DL in cerebral infarction cases(r = 0.826,P0.01).Conclusion Homocystenie and ox-LDLhave involved in the pathogenesis of cerebral infarction.
