Effect of Weikang capsules on acute gastric mucosa lesion of rats

Abstract
Objective:To assess the effect of Weikang capsules on acute gastric mucosa lesions of rats. Methods: Following after the induction of acute rat gastric mucosa lesions by cold stress, the rats were treated with Weikang capsules for 7 days. The gastric mucosal blood circulation was measured by a laser doppler blood flow instrument. Results: The Weikang capsules significantly reduced the gastric mucosa lesion index, and increased the gastric mucosal blood circulation of rats, compared with the lesions model group (P0.01). The protection effect of Weikang capsule was superior to that of other groups treated with glutamine granula, bismuth potassium citrate and Flos Lonicerae, respectively. Conclusion: Weikang capsules could recover acute rat gastric mucosa lesion better.
