Abstract
Iron ore samples were digested by acid in a microwave system under high temperature and high pressure, and ICP AES was applied to the determination of phosphorous and sulfur in the samples. The ultraviolet lines 178.221nm for P and 180.669nm for S were selected, by which serious spectral interference of Fe, Si, Al, Cu, Mn, Ca etc in matrix can be avoided. By purging light route of spectrograph with N 2,oxygen's absorption to ultraviolet light was eliminated and good sensitivities were obtained. The proposed method is simple and rapid with great reliability. The detection limits of P and S were found to be 0.067,0.075μg·mL -1 ,respectively. The linear range is 0.1-200 μg·mL -1 , the RSD and the recovery is in the range of 1.35%-5.05% and 89.6%-100.7%,respectively.
