Abstract

Through a solution culture experiment, the effects of NO-3 stress on the growth, photosynthesis pigment content and photosynthesis of cucumber seedlings were studied under different light intensities. The results indicated that NO-3 stress inhibited the seedling growth, increased the content of photosynthesis pigment, decreased the net photosynthetic rate(Pn) and stomatal conductance(Gs).Compared with the high light intensity, the low light intensity alleviated the inhibition to cucumber seedling growth and the decrease of net photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance, but increased the content of photosynthesis pigment. In a word, low light intensity could alleviate the damage of NO-3 stress on cucumber seedlings.
