Abstract
Two kinds of computing model available within distributed computing realm are CORBA model and DCOM model. But difficulties occur when interoperability is needed between CORBA system and DCOM system. This paper analyses DCOM model and CORBA model and gives a brief overview of the difference between CORBA and DCOM. The paper brings forward a new distributed computing model of Web Service. The paper also expatiates on architectecture of Web Service and technology in implementing Web Service. This new distributed computing model supports crossplatform and crossprogramming language interoperability. A real solution is presented in the paper based on open standards that can truly support interoperability.
