Abstract

Objective: To establish a method of fingerprint analysis of Curcuma wenyujin by HPLC.Method: HPLC was performed on a kromasil ODS C18 analytical column(4.6 mm×250 mm,5 μm) with gradient elution(0-45 min,45% A→95% A;45-55 min,95% A) of acetonitrile(A)-0.1% phosphoric acid(B) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1.The column temperature was 30 ℃ and UV detection wavelength was set at 216 nm.Result: Thirteen peaks were identified as the characteristic fingerprints of C.wenyujin and the fingerprints profiles of the 10 samples from the same species C.wenyujin presented high similarities. The similarities of different species of Curcuma were low.The fingerprint profile was able to identify different species of Curcuma. Conclusion: This method is rapid, precise and replicable, which is helpful to control the quality of Curcumae.
