Quantitative measurement of dental root-end growth in patients received apexification

Abstract

Objective:To observe the root-end growth in patients received apexification.Method:Six pulp-exposed teeth undergone trauma received apexification with calcium hydroxide paste.The diameter of root canal and the length of dental root was measured with X-ray.Result:Calcified bridge indicated apexification was successful.The root canal growth showed no significant difference with the counterpart in on the opposite side.Conclusion:Apexification with calcium hydroxide recovers the root-end growth.
