Development situation and strategy of biotechnology

Abstract
The development situation of biotechnology at home and abroad was depicted with an emphasis on China's pharmaceutical and agricultural biotechnology.Some fields in biotechnology which might be developed were pointed out,such as ①hotspots,frontline,fields under developing,and industry of bio-pharmaceuticals,②development of medicine from natural plants,③application of biotechnology in producing chiral medicine,④agricultural biotechnology,⑤ ocean hi-tech industry,⑥utilization of bio-energy and bio-resources,and ⑦environmental biotechnology,etc.Some advice for developing plan and policy-making in biotechnology in 21th century was given.
