Abstract

Kanamycin inhibits the formation and the proliferation of Stachys sieboldii callus. With the increase of Kanamycin concentrations, the frequency of callus formation and the increase of weight are lower. The sensitivity of leaves and stems is different and obviously, the stem's is higher than the leave's. When the Kanamycin concentration is over 30 mg/L,the formation and the proliferation of the stems callus are inhibited. So we think the optimum Kanamycin concentration is about 30 mg/L for S. sieboldii genetic transformation.
