Abstract
The raw water for Sanzao WTP comes from Jinchong Reservoir,in which algae concentration, color, iron and manganese concentration are high in spring and autumn. The turbidity of the raw water becomes very high during periods of rainfall. The raw water quality varies with the season obviously. The original direct filtration process using single-valve filter was reconstructed because it could not meet the requirements of Standards for Drinking Water Quality(GB 5749-2006).Aimed at the raw water quality, the combined process of grid flocculation, new floation/sedimentation tank and V-type filter with manganese sand was used, the design capacity was 2.0×104 m3/d.The design parameters of the combined process were introduced.
