Discussion of Sketch Teaching of Ethnic Painting in View of Differences between Chinese and Western Ideas of Modeling

Sketch is an essential foundation for all disciplines of arts today.Sketch has become one of the major courses of modeling training in traditional Chinese painting which is unique in ethnic painting style.Due to the differences between Chinese and western ideas of painting and modeling,there exist some problems in sketch teaching of traditional Chinese painting which are worthy of exploration and study.In sketch teaching of traditional Chinese painting,we should attach emphasis to modeling ideas with characteristics of traditional Chinese painting,adopt strong points and overcome weak points from both traditional Chinese painting and western painting.
